Sustainable Water And Sanitation

Our Supporters

As well as trusts and Rotary clubs and people who make donations, we have people who do exciting things to raise money for us. These include:

The Kili Gals are a group of ambitious ladies who are taking on the heights of Mount Kilimanjaro for Village Water.  They are in training and will start their ascent in February 2012.  Inspired by the challenges women in rural Zambia face in having no other option but to use unsafe and dirty water for their family's needs, the Kili Gals are determined to raise £20,000 to help alleviate the water and sanitation crisis in Zambia.  You can sponsor them here:  http://www.justgiving.com/KiliGals2012

Jake And Alex Sponsored Charity Bike RideJake and  Alex Jungmann  (with dad Kurt)  completed a 10 mile bike ride on Sunday 9th October 2011 around Rutland Water. It was a little windy at times, but they still managed to complete it in 2 hours and 45 minutes which is a fantastic achievement, even the 'problem chain' didn't hinder the ride. In the process they raised over £430 for Village Water.

Phil Sheppard undertook a Fell Run to celebrate his 50th birthday and raised £622.50 including GiftAid.

Row Zambezi
has now raised over £19,000 for Village Water. In August 2011 a team of rowers attempted the world’s first ever rowing expedition along 1,000 kilometres of the Upper Zambezi, from the Angolan border with Zambia to the Victoria Falls.

 Jane Thurnell-Read
, one of our trustees cycled from land's End to John O'Groats in 12 days and raised over £2,400 for Village Water.
